Webcam Santander. Waterfront and the Palace of Festivals
Being the smallest Spanish province, Cantabria has a coastline of more than 200 km with many excellent beaches. Much of the region is hilly and almost half of its territory is 700 meters above sea level.
Cantabria is a wonderful kaleidoscope of hills, cliffs, snowy peaks, deep forests with wild animals, lush valleys, perfect beaches, rivers and sea. There are six conservation areas, such as the Lienkres Dune Park, which is a birdbase for migratory birds. The jewel of the region is the Peaks of Europe National Park, spread over 700 square kilometers, which is the largest park in Spain. This is a kind of mecca for climbers and other lovers of outdoor activities. Only here you can see the deepest caves in the world.
Santander is the capital, port and the largest city of the province, which is famous for its summer festivals. It is a luxurious resort with views of the majestic mountains and the blue sea. It is not for nothing that the royal summer residence is located here. The city is famous for its international university in the luxurious La Magdalena Palace, the windows of which overlook the sea.
