Praia de Sao Torpes is the 33rd of 38 beaches in the Alentejo region, 193.3 km from its center, Portalegre. It is one of the beaches of Bairro Novo da Provenca Velha, just 1.8 km from the center.
The long coastline is covered with light sand, the water in the sea is crystal-blue. The entrance to the water has a normal sharpness, you do not need special shoes here.
This place is relevant to a different audience: single travelers, lovers of relaxation. A big plus is that in high season it is not at all crowded.
The coastal Praia de Sao Torpes is available to all comers. This is an equipped beach, the list of its infrastructure includes a cafe-bar, toilets and other amenities. During the season there is a lifeguard on duty.
The beach is suitable for kite and windsurfing enthusiasts: good waves make it ideal for surfers.
The access to the beach is easy, less than 500m from the road. In the immediate vicinity there is a large parking lot.
