Peregian Beach is a beach and small coastal town on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is a suburb divided between two local government areas with the east coast in the county of Noosa and the west inland in the Sunshine Coast region. (Between 2008 and 2013, Peregian Beach was entirely within the Sunshine Coast region.)
According to the 2016 census, the population of Peregian Beach was 3,791.
Peregian is an Aboriginal word for emu.
Peregian Beach has recently been modernized with a new shopping district that includes several new restaurants, a medical center, and various stores.
