Arkhangelsk is a city in Russia, the third most populous in the Northwest Federal District after St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad. It is located at the mouth of the Northern Dvina River, 30-35 kilometers from its inflow into the White Sea. Administrative center of the Arkhangelsk Region and Primorsky Municipal District. City of regional importance, makes up the municipality of Arkhangelsk with the status of the urban district.
The largest city in the north of European Russia (Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Vologda regions, the Republic of Komi and Karelia). Population, estimated: 301,199 (2021).
Peace Square is located in the center of the city. Located on the embankment of the Northern Dvina between the streets of the Northern Convoys and Peter Noritsyn.
