Webcam Mooloolaba. Mooloolaba Beach
Mooloolaba's golden sandy beach, bathed by clear waters, is a dream for family vacationers. The low cliffs that form the northern edge of the curved shoreline protect Mooloolaba from winds and waves. It is the safest and cleanest beach on the Sunshine Coast, supervised by lifeguards and equipped with walking paths.
At the north end of the beach are the surf club (founded in 1923) and secured parking lots. On the southern edge are a number of facilities serving boat events in Mululaba Harbor. A 5-minute walk from the beach is the yacht marina with parking for cars. Along the picturesque promenade lined with first-class cafes, stores and restaurants. Many hotels and apartments are happy to accommodate guests.
The waves on Mululaba Beach are usually limited to a meter in height, dropping to less than 0.5 m at the entrance to the harbor. These are optimal conditions for body surfing. Inexperienced swimmers should beware of the dangerous spots on the northern edge (opposite the cliffs) where strong currents form. The rest of the beach area is ideal for swimming, fishing, boating and hiking.
