Webcam Pitesti - Music Fountain on Town Hall Square
The view of the fountain fits very organically against the background of the Rudolf Schweitzer Kumpkin Art Gallery. The building was built in 1886 in the eclectic style with classical texture, designed by architect Ion Sokolescu, whose original purpose was the town hall of the municipality of Pitesti.
The building is built on two levels: on the ground floor and on the first floor, the first floor is accessed by an Albesti stone staircase, topped by an open terrace, accessible from the inside, supported by limestone columns with Corinthian capitals.
On the upper first floor is a large hall, which leads to symmetrically shaped side rooms and up a monumental marble staircase. The meeting room has a large ceiling decorated by the artist Joseph Materna.
