Westende is a Belgian city located on the North Sea coast in the province of West Flanders in the west of the country, 13 km southwest of Ostend and 16 km northeast of De Panne. It consists of two areas: the central area of Westende, located a little away from the sea, and the coastal area of Westende Bad, along which stretches a wide and long sandy beach.
