Online camera Biysk. Ulitsa Udarnaya, Ulitsa Sotsialisticheskaya (Altai region)
The small and cozy city of Biysk is located in the southeastern part of the Altai Territory near the beautiful place where the Biya merges with the Katun. It is divided into two parts - the right bank and the left bank, which are connected by an old and in many ways unique bridge, of which there are not many left in the country. Biysk is the beginning of the famous Chuysky tract, which goes across the Altai Mountains to the border with Mongolia.
Biysk is one of those cities, which was founded by decree of Peter I. He appeared in 1709 as a major fortress, which was to participate in the protection of trade routes leading to China and Mongolia. Because the city was built by decree of Peter the Great, it strongly resembles St. Petersburg in some places.
