Sunshine Beach is a coastal town and suburb in Noosa County, Queensland, Australia; part of the Sunshine Coast resort area. According to the 2016 census, 2,460 people lived in Sunshine Beach.
The area south of Cape Noosa was formerly called Golden Beach, but was rarely visited until the 1920s. In 1928, Thomas Marcus Burke received land there in exchange for building roads and bridges from Tuantine. After World War II, his son Marcus sold it as "Sunshine Beach."
The beaches of the Sunshine Coast resort region of Australia are the region's main asset. Many hotels, restaurants and stores have been built on the coast. The best beach is considered Gold Beach. There are often high waves, so this area is beloved by surfers. It is the most popular sport among local young people. Particular preference is given to kitesurfing.
Also on the Sunny coast you can ride a variety of boats, launches and yachts. Tourists are also offered paragliding and skydiving.
