Live Feodosia. Komsomolsky Park

Komsomolsky Park in Feodosia is the largest recreation area in the city. This place is very popular among residents and guests of the city, as here you can walk through the shady alleys, enjoy nature, go to a cafe and have fun at the attractions.

The park covers an area of 6 hectares. There are a lot of plants: there are almost two thousand of them. Nearby there is a beach with the name "Suvorinsky stones", hotels and resorts, as it is considered a resort area.

Previously, this place was a wasteland, and the first trees were planted in 1959 through the joint efforts of city residents, sailors and students of local schools. In the 1980s, a new interesting structure appeared in Komsomolsky Park - a small town for children in the form of ancient fortifications made of stone.

According to archaeologists, it is believed that a Greek settlement was founded there in the 6th century. At the same time, in the 1980s, there was opened a small memorial dedicated to the memory of participants in the battles for Theodosia. Later in 1991 a monument to those who fought in Afghanistan, designed by architect Andrey Gorin from Feodosiya, was erected here.

The monument is in the form of a huge stone on which you can see the imitated marks from bullets. In 2006, the monument to Ivan Fedorovich Fedko, in whose honor the street adjacent to the park is named, was moved here, and in 2015 there was opened the Stella of Memory, timed to assign Feodosia the status of the city of military glory.
