Webcam Opole. Alley of Stars
Opole is a city in Poland, located on the Odra River and is considered the capital of the Opole Voivodeship. Today it is a cultural and scientific center of the region, which is famous for its attractions.
The town is one of the oldest towns in the region, the first records of which date back to 845.
The city is located in the historical area of Upper Silesia, from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century it was its capital. Until 1945, the town was part of Germany under the name of Oppeln. At the beginning of 1945 it was taken by the advancing Soviet forces and by the decision of the Postdam Conference was transferred to Poland.
