Cowes is a town located in the northern part of the Isle of Wight in the south of England, on the left bank of the River Medina where it flows into the Te-Solent. The town has hosted the Cowes Week regatta every year since 1826.
Also every 2 years, the local Royal Ocean Racing Club organizes the Fastnet Regatta on the Cowes-Lands End-Fastnet Island route. Cowes attractions include West Cowes Castle, built in 1539, St. Mary's Church, Ivy House and Northwood House Manor.
