Webcam Lake Garda in Tignale district
Lake Garda is located in northern Italy, at the foot of the Alpine mountain ranges. It is the largest freshwater body of water in the country, with an area of 370 km². The lake, about halfway between Venice and Milan, is bordered by three Italian provinces, but the inhabitants of the lakeside towns and villages are united in a special informal community of Garda.
Over the densely built-up shores of the lake it's full of magic aura of antiquity, here at every step rise mossy towers of medieval fortresses, green olive trees hide Renaissance palaces, ivy-covered Byzantine basilicas, ascetic churches, founded by famous relics.
The excellent tourist infrastructure surrounding Garda includes nature reserves and botanical gardens, amusement parks, restored historical and architectural monuments, theaters, museums and of course, superbly equipped beach areas.
Tignale is a municipality in Italy, located in the province of Brescia, Lombardy region. Its population is 1,321 (2008), density is 28 people/km². It covers an area of 48 km².
