Grimbergen is a city in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant, at the intersection of the River Senna with a canal connecting nearby Brussels with the River Scheldt.
Grimbergen first became important in the 12th century, when St. Norbert of Xanten founded here one of the first abbeys of the Premonstrant Order. Since ancient times, the monks were famous for their brewing art, so the Grimbergen Beer Museum is among the city's attractions.
