Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the administrative center of the Sarajevo Canton.
It is located on the territory of one of two communities ("entities») the countries are the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the majority of whose inhabitants are Bosniaks and Croats. Sarajevo is the industrial and cultural center of the country. There are numerous industrial enterprises, as well as the Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the university and the art gallery. It is located at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level.
