Webcam Yaroslavl. Pushkin Street, Tchaikovsky Street
Pushkin Street is located in the Kirovsky district of the city. It begins from Volkova Square, ends with the intersection with Victory Street and has a length of less than one kilometer. Its current name the street has got only in 1957, in honor of the famous Russian poet.
Not far from the street is situated the Znamensky tower, built entirely of brick, in the middle of the 17th century. Later a wooden chapel was added to it, which was rebuilt several times. Eventually, at the end of the 19th century, the church was reconstructed according to the project by Nikiforov.
Butusovsky park with wide avenues and playgrounds for children is a favorite recreation place for residents of nearby houses. Previously the park was a protected area, but then this status was removed, which led to the reduction of its territory. Several old buildings have been preserved here. For example, house number 3 is an excellent example of classicism in the architecture of the 19th century.
There is also a large shopping and entertainment complex "Aura" with a cinema, a variety of stores, cafes and restaurants.
