Real-time webcam of Lake Geiselthalsee (Germany)

The Geiseltalsee is a residual mining lake in the south of Saxony-Anhalt.
It was created during reclamation activities in the former Geiseltal lignite mining area northeast of Muelte.

It is the largest artificial lake in Germany, with an area of almost 19 square kilometers, and is one of the ten richest lakes in Germany and the largest body of water in the Central German Lake District.

Together with other lakes in the southeast (Runkstädter See, Südfeldsee and the much smaller Hassee near Rossbach) it forms the Geiseltaler lake complex.
