Stykkishólmur is a town and community in Iceland. Stikkishoulmur is located in the western part of Iceland, in the Vesturland region, in the north of the Snaifedlsnes Peninsula. The town lies on the southern shore of the Brady Fjord. The harbour of Stikkishoulmuir is very convenient for navigation. It also has a regular ferry service to Flatay Island. Every year in August, in Stikkishoulmuir, in memory of the times of the Danish trade monopoly, a festival is organized, the so-called "Danish Days" (Danskir dagar). On the Sunday that falls on these days, according to tradition, the townspeople speak only Danish.
