Tambo Webcam
If the origin of crop circles is still a mystery to scientists, there is a reasonable explanation for the vivid patterns in the land areas of China. It is the work of talented farmers who know how to create real masterpieces with the help of breeding.
Each year, farmers sow up to 12 varieties of rice in the same field with the specific goal of creating living canvases that take your breath away.
Rice shoots of different shades grow so that images of national heroes and cartoon characters gradually emerge in the field. This type of art is called tambo.
For almost two thousand years, villagers have been growing rice, but the tradition of sowing grains in an "artistic" way was born not so long ago - in 1993. At that time, the villagers decided to use different varieties to "draw" a simple picture in the field. The experience was a success, and every year since then, the villagers gather in April to determine which masterpiece of painting will adorn their fields in six months.
The artistically sown fields change color as the rice ripens and become true masterpieces in autumn. And when the time comes to harvest, the rice grown in the field-painting, after processing, goes to the most ordinary stores.
