Webcam Khabarovsk. Lenin Square online in real time

Lenin Square is the main square of the city. It is the second largest square in Russia (more than 25 thousand square meters), second only to Red Square! It was laid out in 1864 and since then it has been the main place for various events.

The history of the square is connected with the history of Khabarovsk. Earlier it was called Nikolayevskaya square, and later in 1917 it was renamed into Freedom square. In 1925 in the center of the square was a monument to Lenin, and in 1950 it was moved to the bleachers, which seats 2500 people, and then was renamed Stalin Square. In 1957 the square was named after Lenin. In 1998 the square was reconstructed and appeared renewed, gala and beautiful. In summer, the square looks like a huge carpet of flowers.

The main decoration of the square - the fountains. Eight small fountains surround the square, and in the center - the main fountain, consisting of 3 small ones: the upper, intermediate and lower one. The diameter of the lower basin on the outer edge of the board is 22 meters. The whole fountain occupies a square of 52×52 meters. In winter the square is no less beautiful: a Christmas tree, a small town of ice sculptures, a sleeping fountain in the twinkling of colored lights.

Every year, from New Year's Eve to the spring warming, the ice sculptures shine in the frosty sun. Ice aquariums with fishes, striking flowers, mythical characters surprise visitors and residents of the city with their bright colors. For several years already, in winter, a festival of ice figures is held on the square, and artists from different countries: China, Japan, South Korea and others come to it.
