Platja d'Almadrava, also known as Canyelles Grosses, is one of the most popular beaches in Roses. It is about 500 meters long and 24 meters wide, covered with fine sand and is one of those beaches that appeal to the whole family.
Almadrava is about 5km from the center of Roses on the Costa Brava, but it is very easy to reach and parking is very close. It has the prestigious European EMAS and ISO 14001 certifications.
The beach has lifeguard stations, medical point and telephone.
The beach is equipped with showers and toilets. If desired, you can rent a deck chair and an umbrella. Along the length of the beach there are numerous bars and restaurants, stores.
For those who like active recreation on the beach is a kayak rental and water attractions, beach volleyball court, near a kite and windsurfing station.
Right behind the beach begins the reserve "Cape Creus", the coastline here fascinates with its views.
