Pragelato is located near Sestriere and is also part of the huge Via Lattea ski region in Piedmont. It is considered one of the youngest resorts in Italy, but has already hosted some events of the 2006 Olympics.
The airport of Turin is 90 kilometers from Milan. Turin's airport is 90 kilometers away, Milan's is 220 kilometers away.
Pradgelato is situated at an altitude of 1524 meters near the national parks of Val Troncea and Orsier. The area of the resort is small, just a few hectares. It is very close to the larger Sestriere, and the ski areas are connected by elevators.
The resort has only 15 km of slopes, but tourists can also try the neighboring Via Lattea valley, which has 400 km of slopes.
Ski pass in Via Lattea gives the opportunity to ride not only the Italian, but also the Ranza slopes. The beginners are offered a trip on the gentle slopes at the town of Sestriere, and the skiers of intermediate level should visit the slopes on the plateau between Motta and Banketta. For advanced skiers, the "black" piste at Motta, with its steep slopes and off-piste sections, is more suitable.
