Shiroitnaya Street is one of the main streets of Tyumen. The length of the street is about 8 kilometers. Located in the Eastern Administrative District of Tyumen. Starts from the traffic circle with Melnikaite street and rolls up near the wooded area of TETs-2.
Shiroitnaya Street passes through 6 districts: microTyumensky-3, 5th microdistrict, 6th microdistrict, neighborhoods Vostochny, Vostochny 2 and microVoynovka. The length of the street is 7,826 meters.
Flat, straight four lanes, and thus wide, appeared in the late 70's, separating the city and the collective farm fields of the village of Patrushev. For a long time the street was a one-way suburb on the east side of town. The first houses on the street appeared in the area of Permyakova/Shirotnaya intersection, on the odd side of the street. They were five-story Brezhnev, Lenin project, Tobolsk project, and 121 series houses. In the 80s, as neighborhoods from 1st to 6th began to sprawl, 121 series nine-story buildings were built along Shirotnaya Street.
In the 1990s, the odd-numbered side of the street was rebuilt with 121 and 86 series homes. On the even side of the street, the MZHK neighborhood appeared, where Brezhnevka buildings, 121 series, and corridor-type houses were also built. Between 1990-2000 active construction continued in the MZHK neighborhood and buildings across from the MZHK on the odd side. The huge square of Deputies was broken up, and the construction of the lost Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which will ring the bells and announce the beginning of services only in 2013, began.
The area adjacent to Shirotnaya, Permyakova, and Olimpiyskaya streets is called Tyumensky-1. At the same time, houses are built further along Shirotnaya Street (165-167, etc.) Among the new buildings there is a square to paratroopers and this area is called Vostochny. In 2000-2010 the Vostochny-2 neighborhood appears. In 2010-2020, the former village of Voynovka located along the railroad and named Voynovka station was gradually demolished to create in its place residential areas Vershina Residential Complex, closer to Shirotnaya Residential Complex Slovtsova, Raduga Residential Complex and Snegeri Residential Complex. And on the side of MZHK, opposite Residential Complex Raduga being built LCD Malakhovo, Solo Residential Complex, Residential Complex Eastern Shirota.
Vostochny-3 district is being formed, there appears a big shopping center O.K., new automobile interchanges, and a bridge over the railroad along Montazhnikov Street connects the Eastern part of the city with the center. During the same years, the active development of land on the even-numbered side along Shirotnaya Street begins. Opposite, built more than 30 years ago, the 4-5 district houses Tyumen 2, then Tyumen 3. By the way, for many years on this place Lenta shopping center and Metro shopping center stood orphaned like in the ridges.
Now they are in a new, densely populated area of the city. This area is becoming one of the popular. Residential complexes at Family-1, Residential Complex Family-2, Residential Complex at Fedorov, Residential Complex Vremena Goda, Residential Complex 5-th quarter, Crystal, Residential Complex Orion and a mass of houses TDSC. Shirotnaya Street ceased to be the outskirts of the city and took its place of honor in the connection of many new areas in the Eastern district of the city.
