Mallorca online camera. Santa Maria del Cami, Central Square
The municipality of Santa Maria del Cami is located in the interior of the island, 14 kilometers from the city of Palma, in its vicinity we find the towns of Consell, Marrachi and Santa Eugenia. This town currently has about 6,500 inhabitants.
The first archaeological finds of this town date back to the pre-Talayotic period (between 3000 and 1400 B.C.), one of them being the Cova de Moro, discovered in 1903.
The town square is a quiet place surrounded by ancient buildings of the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries, including the town hall. In the town hall some precious things stand out, such as the almond milk mill, an anonymous painting of large dimensions representing the conquest of Majorca or the altar of Joan Massana, which is preserved in the plenary hall.
