Eighth Avenue is a street in the West Side borough of Manhattan. Traffic on the street is one-way and is directed from south to north. Eighth Avenue begins at Abingdon Square in Greenwich Village, where Hudson Street intersects with Bleecker Street. The street runs through the neighborhoods of Chelsea, the Garment District, Hell's Kitchen, all of Midtown, and, in particular, through the Theater District.
