The Church of Santa Maria del Giglio (Italian: Santa Maria del Giglio, Santa Maria Zobenigo) is located in the heart of Venice, just 5 minutes walk from St. Mark's Square, the main square of Venice. The church was built in the 10th century in Baroque style by the Slavic family Giubanico.
Its peculiarity is the façade designed by Giuseppe Sardi in honor of Antonio Barbaro and his family. On the façade, along with the figures of the saints, the outlines of the cities of Rome, Corfu, Split, Zadar, Padua and Candia were created, which played a great role for the family.
Today the church houses a museum where you can see a painting of the Holy Family and two paintings by Tintoretto. The Hotel Bel Sito & Berlino 3* is located right in front of the church.
