Webcam Tricala - Bridge of Asclepius
Asclepius or Aesculapius is the god of medicine in Greek and Roman mythology. According to the classical version of the myth, Coronida, pregnant with Asclepius, cheated on Apollo with the mortal Ischium, for which she was killed.
In the funeral pyre, Apollo extracted Asclepius from Coronida's womb and handed him over to the centaur Chiron, who taught the boy the art of healing, in which he achieved unprecedented success.
