Lenin Street is one of the main streets of the old Astrakhan in the historic district of Bely Gorod. It begins from the square of the same name near the southern wall of the Astrakhan Kremlin, runs parallel to the main Soviet street, crosses Kirov, Volodarskogo, Communist, Shelgunov and Darvin streets, ending near Mikhail Aladin street.
Until 1837 it was called Kanonerskaya, then Belgorodskaya. In 1920, it was named Polukhin Street, then was renamed into Aviatsionnaya, Voroshilov, and Kremlin Streets. Received its present name on October 26, 1957.
