Split is a city in Croatia with more than 1,700 years of history. The largest city in Dalmatia and the second largest city in the country after the capital Zagreb. The center of the famous resort region, located in the central part of the Adriatic coast between the cities of Zadar and Dubrovnik.
The city is located on the Marjan Peninsula between the Bay of Kashtela and the Split Canal at the foot of the Mosor Mountains (the highest peak of Mosor, 1330 meters).
