The Minack Theatre is an unusual theater located on the cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean in Cornwall, in the very southwest of England.
The theater was built by a woman, Rowena Cade of Derbyshire, and she completely invented and financed the construction of the theater, which was built from 1931 to 1983! When the theater was built in 1983, the woman was already 85 years old. The theater is open year round, with the most plays and performances during the summer.
