Sixth Avenue is an important main road in the New York City borough of Manhattan, where traffic moves north or to the outskirts of residential areas. Sixth Avenue begins four blocks below Canal Street, at Franklin Street and Tribeca, the street goes north and 0.5 km south of the IND 63rd Street Line. The street crosses the Soho and Greenwich Village neighborhoods, roughly divides Chelsea from the Flatiron Neighborhood and the NoMad neighborhood, runs through Garment County, and skirts the edge of the Theater District, along with the one that runs through Midtown.
