Václav Havel International Airport is the international airport of Prague, the Czech capital, and is located in the Prague 6 district, 11 km west of the Historic City Center. The airport was opened in 1937 and named after Vaclav Havel - the first president of Czech Republic.
Prague Airport is the hub (base airport) for airlines such as Czech Airlines, Smart Wings and Travel Service Airlines. The airport can handle up to 15 million passengers a year. It has four terminals: Terminal 1 for non-Schengen countries, Terminal 2 for Schengen countries, Terminal 3 for private and charter flights and Terminal 4 for VIP flights, state and official visits.
