Konjic is a town on the Neretva River, halfway between Sarajevo and Mostar. Konjic is just on the geographical border between Herzegovina and Bosnia, and it is a mixture of features of both regions.
For tourists, Konjic is usually a transit point: you can walk there for a couple of hours and then go either rafting on the Neretva, or on Boraczko Lake, or continue your way to Mostar or Sarajevo.
The main attraction of Konjic is the Old Stone Bridge across the Neretva, built in the 17th century. On the left bank, next to the bridge, was formed Carsija, the business and commercial center of the city. Even today, you can feel the spirit of the old times.
