Webcam Krasnoyarsk. Vilsky Street, Lesoparkovaya Street

Wilsky street is located in the Oktyabrsky district of Krasnoyarsk.
In accordance with the decision of the executive committee of the Krasnoyarsk Executive Committee ¹ 222 on 08/13/1988 a street in the Vetluzhanka neighborhood was named after Veniamin Vladimirovich Vilsky (March 18, 1925 - August 19, 1980).
Veniamin Vladimirovich was born in the city of Ulan Bator (Mongolia) in the family of a worker. In 1939, after completing seven grades at a school in Krasnoyarsk, the young Veniamin found a job as a left motorist of the river port in the city of Igarka, Krasnoyarsk region (V.V.Vilsky is an honorary citizen of Igarka).
In May 1943, Vilsky was called up for service in the Active Army.

To the very beginning of 1945 Guard corporal Wilsky was a machine gunner of a reconnaissance company of 17th Guard mechanized brigade of 6th Guard mechanized corps of 4th tank army of 1st Ukrainian front. He distinguished himself during the force of Oder.
At dawn on January 25, 1945 in the region of Koben (now - Chobenia, Poland) Vilsky had crossed the Oder as a part of reconnaissance group of five men. The group managed to take a bunker with 4 guns and 8 machine guns, having destroyed about 30 enemy soldiers and officers. The action of the group allowed providing crossing of other infantry units across the Oder. During the fighting for the expansion of bridgehead Wilsky personally destroyed a machine gun and about 20 enemy soldiers and officers.

By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet on April 10, 1945 for the courage, bravery and heroism shown in the fight against the Nazi invaders, Guard Corporal Wilsky was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
After the war, Vilsky came to Krasnoyarsk and took a job on the railroad, where he worked his way up from stoker to machinist. In November 1959 he was one of the pioneers in running-in electric locomotives on alternating current on the experimental section Kacha - Bugach. It should be noted that this section of the railroad is one of the hardest on the whole eastern route between Moscow and Irkutsk.
In 1966 Veniamin Vladimirovich was elected deputy of the XXIII CPSU Congress.
In May 1966 he was trusted to lead the train Vladivostok - Moscow, in which the Secretary General of the CPSU Central Committee Leonid Brezhnev rode through Krasnoyarsk.

Wilsky Street, winding between apartment blocks and various buildings, serves as a link between the main roads of the district, such as Elena Stasova Street and Lesoparkovaya Street. Most of the street is set back from roads with passenger traffic.
The even-numbered side of Wilsky Street runs along Silver Creek, the source of which is located near the Vetluzhanka ski stadium. There is also the fourth dam, formed on the creek. This small lake could be turned into a local landmark by improving the embankment, creating a cozy place for walks and rest of the citizens, but so far this idea remains a dream of the locals.
The residential buildings built at the beginning of the street border the electric substation "Left Bank". This is one of the oldest substations in Krasnoyarsk, launched in 1959. It feeds Zheleznodorozhny and Oktyabrsky districts of the city.

When at the end of the 2000s intensive construction of residential buildings was started here, this district was named - the microdistrict "Silver". One of the first buildings, put into operation at the end of 2006, is a former unfinished hospital. Since the developer of the neighborhood tried to use all of the usable area of this building, there are living quarters with a very unusual layout: for example, a room without a window or with a window, but .... on the stairway.

The most notable residential buildings in the "Silver" neighbourhood are four sixteen-storey "candles", the outer walls of which are made of brick and lined with hinged light tiles.

Since 2013, here is under construction a residential complex "Silver", which will consist of sixteen-storey buildings, designed on the basis of precast concrete products series 111-97. This complex will have 2,795 apartments, mostly of the "hotel" type.
