Filippovskoe is a village in Kirzhach district of Vladimir region of Russia. It is the administrative center of the Filippovskoye Rural Settlement. It is located at the intersection of the federal highway A-108 "Big Moscow Ring" and the road from Moscow to Kirzhach on the right bank of the Sherna River.
It was first mentioned in the 14th century, when Grand Prince Vasily Dmitrievich gave it to the Moscow Chudovo Monastery under Archimandrite Joachim, and it remained in the possession of the monastery until 1764. According to another source, Metropolitan Alexei bequeathed the village to the Chudovo Monastery which he had founded. The 1705 census book "Pereslavl-Zalessky uyezd villages and estates" lists "the village Filippovskoye on the river Sherna with the church of Nicholas the Wonderworker" as a property of the governor Olexander Danilovich Menshikov. The scribe books of 1628 show a wooden church in the name of Nicholas the Wonderworker in Philippovskoye. In 1684, according to information collected in 1799, a new wooden church in the name of the same saint was built in Philippovsky. This church existed until a stone church was built in 1821.
Since 1862 there was a brickyard of peasant Vasily Timofeevich Vanyakin. According to data for 1900, the factory employed 10 workers.
Since 1887 in the village was a silk weaving factory peasant Pelageya Vasilievna Fedina. At the factory in 1900 worked 8 workers. Since 1891 worked silk weaving factory of peasant Alexei Fedorovich Zorin. In 1900 it employed 50 workers.
Since 1888 in the village was located silk dyeing works of peasant Venedikt Gavrilovich Bezabotnov. According to data for 1900 at the establishment worked 14 workers. From 1888 a distribution office, and from 1894 - a silk spinning factory of peasant Vasily Efimovich Bezabotnov. According to data for 1900, these institutions employed 53 workers.
Economic development of the village was promoted by its location on the Stromynski tract. In September-October 1812 the village was home to the 4th regiment of the Vladimir militia, commanded by Nikolai Petrovich Polivanov, blocking the way to the enemy in the Vladimir Province.
At the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century it was the center of Philippovskaya Volost in Pokrovsky County.
According to data for 1895, the total number of inhabitants of the village is 526 people, of which 258 are engaged in trades. Very few people are engaged in the trades.
Since 1929 the village has been the center of Philippovsky village council of Kirzhach district. Since 2006, it has been the center of the Filippovo Rural Settlement.
