Webcam Rincon. Central beach

Rincon is a town located in the west of the island of Puerto Rico, between two ledges, Mayaguez and Aguadilla. These ledges are famous for their surf and shores, which are ideal for surfing. In the city itself, the lighthouse El Faro with a small Maritime Museum and dolphin or whale watching platforms are considered interesting sights.

Of course, this city of Puerto Rico is not very big (it is inhabited by about 15 thousand people), but it is here where the gorgeous beaches of the island and its westernmost point are located. The city was originally founded by the Spanish in 1771 and it means "corner", and indeed if you look at the map, the terrain here does form a corner. These days Rincon is traditionally famous for its white beaches, unusual bays and protected areas, and good waves make the local coast a real paradise for surfing.

Mainly tourist infrastructure is focused on surfing, but there are good hotels for a relaxing holiday, and there is a small Maritime Museum, and the lighthouse, where you can watch dolphins and whales. In general, Rincon will appeal to all lovers of active recreation at sea, as well as those who like to enjoy the beauty of nature. In the 1960s, Rincon was a nuclear reactor built by the United States, but later it was closed, and in the near future in its place plan to open a museum.
