Pushkin Street, meeting with Karl Marx Street, forms an intersection. Townspeople call it "the cross". This is where people make appointments, accidentally bump into acquaintances. In general, the place is well-known and has existed for quite a long time. The buildings at the intersection of the two streets keep their stories safely hidden today under a layer of fresh plaster.
"Meet me tonight at the cross," you'll hear teenagers talking at the minibus and think:
"What kind of cross is this? Is it a church?" No, not a church, a crossroads, the center of town. It's the place where young people meet for dates, where they gather before going to the club, where street musicians and magicians perform.
