The Citadel of Dinant is located in the city of the same name in the Belgian region of Wallonia and is one of the main attractions of the city. It is located on the high bank of the Meuse River and is a classic military fortress of the XIX century with a wedge-shaped shape. Towering 100 meters above the city, the Dinan citadel was built in 1820. The earliest fortifications at this site date back to 1051.
