Vestmanna is the seventh largest city in the Faroe Islands, located on the west coast of Streimoy Island. The city does not go directly to the open ocean, from which it is fenced by the island of Voar and is located on the shore of a small bay that communicates with the open ocean through the Vestmannasund Strait, from the land it is fenced by mountains.
