Irkutsk is a unique, ancient city, an ancient crossroads of trade routes, and the capital of Eastern Siberia. It is located at a distance of 5042 kilometers from Moscow and is located on the banks of the Angara River, 63 kilometers from Lake Baikal.

Mill Tract is located in the Irkutsk district within the boundaries of Markovsky Municipality. Kostycheva street passes into the Melnichny trakt, also the trakt can be accessed from the Yubileiny microdistrict and by road from Markov.
There are more than 90 gardening communities along the Melnichniy tract.
As of April 2021, the tract has an asphalt surface to the "Dorozhny Stroitel" SNT (the final stop of public transport), but the Mill tract itself continues to the "Nezabudka" SNT for another 9 km.
