Pilsen is the fourth largest city in the Czech Republic after Prague, Brno and Ostrava, as well as the industrial, commercial and cultural center of West Bohemia and a major brewing center in the Czech Republic.
The city is located in the heart of the Pilsen region in western Bohemia at the confluence of the rivers Mze, Radbuza, Uhlava and Uslava, which form the Berounka River here.
