Webcam Macau. Amizade Bridge
The Amizadeh Bridge is a four-lane, two-way bridge in Macau connecting the Macau Peninsula near the reserve and Taipa Island in Pak-On.
Built after the Macao-Taipa Bridge, it is the second bridge connecting the Peninsula and Taipa across the mouth of the Zhujiang River. Thus, it is also called the New Macao - Taipa Bridge.
Construction began in June 1990. It was opened to traffic in March 1994 and is the longest of the three bridges crossing the Baia da Praia Grande Bridge between the Macau Peninsula and Taipa, 4.7 km long, including 800 meters of connecting viaduct, and 18 meters wide. There are two ridges on the bridge for the passage of maritime traffic.
The highest point of the bridge is 30 meters above sea level. The two entrances to the peninsula are on Avenida de Amisada near the Hong Kong-Macau ferry terminal and on Avenida da Ponte da Amisade in Areia Preta. The two entrances on the northern slope of Taipa Grande are at Estrada de Pac On, which connects to Pac On, and Estrada Almirante Magalhaes Correia, which connects to the center of Taipa (Vila da Taipa).
