Webcam Puntarenas. Hermosa beach
Puntarenas is Costa Rica's main seaport on the Pacific coast and the main transshipment point from which Costa Rican coffee is exported. The town's main tourist attraction is the nearby beaches, which have long been favored by fans of surfing and snorkeling. Tourists who decide to visit Puntarenas will also enjoy visiting the neighboring towns of Puerto Plata and San Vita, which breathe Italian culture.
And in general, the surroundings of Puntarenas are a paradise for fans of eco-tourism. Beautiful lush vegetation, cableways and suspension bridges that disappear in the humid haze of the rainforest, animal voices that shout out in the jungle - all this gives the jungle of Puntarenas a unique mystical atmosphere.
The northern side of the Nicoya Peninsula, which is part of the province of Puntarenas, is covered in mangroves where crocodiles, herons and other exotic birds live. This marshy realm is visible from any pier on the north side of town, and if you wish, you can hire a boatman to walk among the backwaters between the mangroves.
