The Shymbulak ski resort is located in the picturesque gorge of the Trans-Ili Alatau at an altitude of 2260 m above sea level, 25 km from the center of Almaty.
The business card of Cimbulac is a variety of routes, including gentle and soft slopes for beginners, long trails for trained skiers, FIS-trails for downhill skiing, wild valleys with untouched snow and half-pipe for snowboarders, extreme turns for pros, a special track for moguls. Every year, new routes appear on Cimbulak. The ski slopes of Cimbulac are certified by the International Ski Federation (FIS). Downhill and giant slalom tracks are rightfully among the top ten most difficult tracks in the world.
