Webcam Cala Ratiada. The waterfront and the pier
Cala Ratjada is a stronghold of German tourists and quite a large resort with more than 40 hotels capable of accommodating about 12,000 guests. However, rare for Mallorca and for a "German resort", it is also popular with the French. The beaches, surrounded by pine trees, are slightly away from the resort.
Cala Ratjada belongs to the municipality of Capdepera. The town itself, with a little over 7000 inhabitants, is located in the northeastern "corner" of Mallorca and is located on a mountainous promontory. The center of the resort is the marina, around which there is a promenade, cafes, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
The main beach, Son Moll, is located to the south of the resort center. It is quite large, but in high season is often crowded. Be careful when swimming with children - the sea here rather quickly becomes deep even a few meters from the shore. A more child-friendly beach is Cala Aguilla. It is located on the northern part of the resort. In fact, the distance between the beaches is small - only 2.2 km. This also allows you to understand the scale of the resort. There is also a third beach - Cala Gat. It is a pretty narrow, picturesque beach located in the center of the resort. Both Cala Aguilla and Cala Gat, among other things, are loved by photographers: their images can often be seen as the "emblem of Mallorca".
