The Swedish resort of Gallivare is located near the Arctic Circle, on the territory of the cultural region of Lapland. The city is located in a mountainous area with pristine nature, a great place for a secluded holiday with family, and for active sports. In the vicinity of Gallivare, Mount Dundreth is popular for winter sports. Snow cover on its slopes persists from October to May. There are both areas for virgin skiing, and equipped trails of different levels of difficulty. The top of the mountain can be reached by a ski lift, and even those tourists who are indifferent to skiing should visit it. From here you can enjoy a spectacular view: in the west are the national parks of Padjelanta and Sarek, in the northwest stands Kebnekaise, in the north you can see Malmberget, and in good weather you can even see the valley of the Lule River with the Norwegian mountain peaks on the horizon.
