Boeing Field-King County International Airport (Boeing Field) is a state-owned civilian airport located 8 kilometers south of Seattle. It traces its history back to 1928, with the exception of the period of World War II, when the airport was transferred to the Ministry of Defense. In the late 1940s, the airport became civilian again, and a few years later it became a training ground for Boeing aircraft.
The airport is located on an area of 257 hectares, at an altitude of 6 meters above sea level. It operates two asphalt-paved runways. The dimensions of the strips are 3048 x 61 and 1131 x 30 meters, respectively. Every year, the airport carries out more than 20 thousand operations for receiving and sending general aviation aircraft, air taxis, commercial and military flights. On the territory of the airport there is also an Aviation Museum, which presents samples of aircraft of various models.
