There is a street in the Oktyabrsky district of Murmansk named in honor of Andrey Yakovlevich Maklakov, the captain of the fishing vessels.
Andrei Yakovlevich was born on October 17, 1906 in the village of Solza, Primorsky district of Arkhangelsk region.
He began his career in the net-weaving workshop in Arkhangelsk. Since 1921 he was a sailor on the fishing trawler "Pinagor".
In 1929 he moved to Murmansk, where in 1930 he graduated from the Training Course Combine on the program of secondary maritime school. Worked as assistant trawlmeister, trawlmeister and navigator on the fishing vessels of the Murmansk Trawl Fleet (MTF).

Innovator, creator of multi-depth trawl for herring fishery, used on trawlers of the USSR. One of the first participants in the development of Big Freeze Trawlers. Since 1963 - Captain of the experimental trawler "Cod" of the Murmansk Trawl Fleet.
In 1963 he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the Order of Lenin and the gold medal "Sickle and Hammer" for outstanding achievements in achieving high performance in fish catching and fish production.
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner, medals "For the Defense of the Soviet Polar Region", "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945".
After his retirement in 1965, Andrey Yakovlevich Maklakov lived in Petrozavodsk.
He died on the 29th of July, 1976.
