Sahyurta online camera. MRS ferry crossing
The village of Sakhyurt is located in the Olkhon district of the Irkutsk region. It is known primarily for the pier located on its outskirts, from which ferries depart for Olkhon Island.
Alternative name of the place is MRS Baikal.
This abbreviation means "Malomorskaya river station". There is also another transcription - "Malomorskaya fishermen's station". Often the village itself is also called the MRS, ignoring the real name. Photos of MRS are posted below in the article.
The ferry crossing works
t from mid-May to mid-December. During this time, hundreds of thousands of tourists pass through the village of Sahyurta, which brings the main income to local residents.
Sakhyurta is an important transport junction, where all cars, both private vehicles and regular buses, come to Olkhon. Small vessels also arrive at the pier.
In winter the ferry stops running, but Sakhyurtu is still visited. The fact is that in the place of the ferry crossing the MRS opens the ice road, on which you can go to conquer Lake Baikal.
The ferry crossing to Olkhon is located in the settlement of MRS (Sakhyurtu) in 270 kilometers from Irkutsk. There are three ferries: "Olkhonskiye Vorota" (capacity 100 people and 16 cars), "Dorojnik" (capacity 50 people and 8 cars) and "Semen Bagataev".
