Webcam Vologda. Leningradskaya street, Okruzhnoe highway
Leningradskaya Street was formed at the end of the 18th century and the first half of the 19th century in accordance with the Plan of Vologda, approved in 1781. Initially it was called St. Petersburgskaya (the name was first recorded in the Plan of Vologda in 1824), because its suburban extension was the road to St. Petersburg.
In 1914 - after the outbreak of World War I - it was renamed into Petrogradskaya street. In the Plan of Vologda 1926 the street is called Petrogradskaya, but in the Plan 1928 it is already Leningradskaya. The plan of 1943 shows that the odd side of Leningradskaya street between Pobedy avenue and Oktyabrskaya street was called Malaya Leningradskaya.
On April 18, 1951 Leningradskaya Street and Malaya Leningradskaya Street were merged into Leningradskaya Street.
